«Yentl», película y relato

 


«Yentl» es un hermosa película dirigida por Barbra Streisand y basada en la obra «Yentl the Yeshiva Boy» del escritor judío estadounidense Isaac Bashevis Singer (Leoncin, Reino de Polonia, Imperio ruso, 1903 - Miami, Estados Unidos, 1991). También fue llevada al teatro.

¿Sabías que este escritor fue vegetariano durante los últimos 35 años? En sus obras, Isaac Bashevis Singer también refleja sus principios éticos. Por ejemplo, en «El matarife» («The Slaughterer»).

Apolón Máikov
