Su moño y sus quevedos... :-) Su estilo está encuadrado dentro del imagismo, una corriente literaria de principios del siglo XX caracterizada por la precisión de las imágenes. Una especie de retorno al Clasicismo y rechazo del Romanticismo. Además de poesía, escribió ensayos sobre literatura. Utilizó el verso libre y admiraba profundamente la obra de John Keats.
