La actriz, escritora, productora teatral... Katharine Cornell (Berlín, Imperio alemán, 1893 - Tisbury, Massachusetts, Estados Unidos, 1974). Una mujer que, ya desde bien joven, exploró todos los ámbitos del mundo del teatro. Aunque nació en Berlín, su familia era de Búfalo.

También fue Jo en «Mujercitas», e interpretó en innumerables ocasiones a la protagonista de «A Bill of Divorcement» (obra que en la película, con Katharine Hepburn., fue titulada «Doble sacrificio» en la versión para España). Una de las actrices de teatro más importantes de su tiempo.
Una vez que triunfó como actriz, se lanzó a producir las obras, mientras seguía protagonizándolas. Le ofrecieron muchos papeles para grandes películas, pero los rechazó. Solamente apareció en una película, aunque representándose a sí misma. Os dejo el vídeo entre los enlaces.
