Florine Stettheimer (Rochester, Nueva York, Estados Unidos, 1871 - Nueva York, 1944), poeta, pintora, diseñadora teatral... En su salón se encontraban muchos de los protagonistas del arte de vanguardia.
Pasó muchos años en Europa, pero volvió a su país debido a la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Ya desde pequeña se acostumbro al viejo continente, pues su madre pertenecía a una familia judía de Alemania instalada en Nueva York.
Escribía sus poemas en trocitos de papel, que su hermana Ettie recopiló y publicó tras su muerte bajp el título «Crystal Flowers» / «Flores de cristal». Aunque solo para repartir los ejemplares entre amigos y familiares. Pero posteriormente volvieron a publicarse, ya para el público.
