José María Arguedas (Andahuaylas, Apurímac, Perú, 1911 - Lima, Perú, 1969), escritor, antropólogo y difusor de la literatura quechua. Un escritor que descubrió a los propios peruanos, a través de la literatura, una parte esencial de su país. Se acabó suicidando tras una larga depresión.
