Y a cada paso, voy viendo todos los autores que faltan aquí... Como A. J. Cronin (Cardross, Escocia, 1896 - Montreux, Suiza, 1981), físico, médico y escritor. Y no me da tiempo casi a escribir algo sobre ellos...
Su obra más conocida es The Citadel, que se convirtió en película en 1938.
Otra de sus novelas es The Stars Look Down (Las estrellas miran hacia abajo, 1940), asimismo muy vendida.
Tambien fueron llevadas al cine Hatter's Castle (1942), The Keys of the Kingdom (Las llaves del reino, 1944) y The Green Years (1946).
Mientras que Country Doctor inspiró series de radio y televisión.
También fue llevada al cine su novela El jardinero español (The Spanish Gardener, 1957)...
